AI Overview
Google's AI-generated answer surface at the top of SERP for certain query types, formerly called Search Generative Experience (SGE) before the 2024 rebrand. Pulls candidate sources for the generated answer based on schema-structured-data signals, citation-graph density, and topic-cluster coverage. Increasingly significant for adult-adjacent informational queries (vs explicit-content queries, which mostly do not trigger AI Overview).
